The WAIMM groups provide the relevant platform for skill enhancement and knowledge sharing where specific professionals in the core sectors of the mining and petroleum industry meet, network and discuss pertinent and pressing specific issues in their field of practice.
The WAIMM Technical Societies and Groups cover the complete assemblage of professionals and associates of the mining and petroleum industries in the West African sub region. The primary objective of the 8 Technical Societies and Groups is to promote the various specific professional branches of the industry and share knowledge about the relevant sectors to the WAIMM membership.
The Societies have as one of their primary functions to organize career specific meetings, conferences, publications, award scholarship etc.
